  • Centre Hall -Floating through America’s only full-water limestone cavern
  • According to historian Henry W. Shoemaker, the first man to own the geological wonder was James Poe, a lesser-known relative of the famous author. The cave itself was named after John Penn, William Penn’s nephew

  • Two young men from Spring Mills were the first to traverse the cave. In 1860, Isaac Paxton and Albert Woods were the first to travel the entire water course which runs through the entire cave system
